Spyware removal software is a must these days if you want to keep your computer free of viruses. With the growing number of computer attacks from the internet and email it's imperative that you run a quality antivirus program as well. It's hard to decide which is best because everyone claims they have the best software. But if your system gets infected due to faulty antivirus software than you're going to need a spyware removal tool.

Some of the best antivirus programs on the market today are Kasperky, Panda and ESET Nod 32. If you prefer another brand that's fine, just make sure you have something installed as your first line of defense. But in the event that your system does become infected with spyware you will be faced with the problem of trying to remove it. Here are my top two tools for removing spyware.

SuperAntiSpyware

Get a copy of SuperAntiSpyware at the first sign of malware or spyware. This software is very effective. It's not the most popular program out there because people don't know about it but it's very familiar to those who work on PC's or do computer consulting. I've used the free version and it's really effective at removing stubborn spyware. This is a very reliable program you will definitely want to have in your toolkit.

SuperAntiSpyware is easy to load, sits quietly in the background of your computer and, unlike some other programs, does not conflict with your current antivirus software. The paid version offers real time protection and also a feature called "First Chance Prevention", which will examine fifty crucial points of your system every time your system starts up and shuts down. This will eliminate every threat before it has a chance to infect and infiltrate your system.

Malwarebytes

Malwarebytes has gotten a lot of attention lately, and rightfully so, because it also is very effective at removing spyware on infected computers. It's not as popular as some of the bigger names, like Adaware for instance, but it does the job; and much better in my opinion. It's fast too, and can scan your entire system in roughly nine minutes with the quick scan option. Additionally, it can even display false positives within your file system which often occur.

It supports multiple drive scans, networked drives and individual file scans too. It's simple to install and setup as well which makes it very user friendly for newbies. I've used this software many times with great results and it does a fantastic job at removing the most stubborn malware.

Understanding Viruses

Remember, malware, which stands for malicious software is a "type" of computer virus and has many names which include, worms, adware, rootkits and trojans, just to name a few. The reason we have so many names for what essentially is really the same thing is because it helps us identify exactly "how" our computer got infected. The best line of defense obviously is to install a good piece of virus protection software so you don't get infected in the first place. But if you do get an infection then run SuperAntiSypware and Malwarebytes.

The most common cause of computer crashes and failures is usually due to an infected software system caused by some sort of malware. I see it all the time as a computer technician and the first thing I do is run one, or both, of these programs. Of course there are times when it's necessary to go into the registry to fix things but nine times out of ten these programs work quite well.

Remember to always update the virus definitions on these programs so that your system is fully protected against the latest threats. I advise running these programs one after the other, in conjunction with one another, because they actually compliment each other; if one doesn't catch the problem the other one most likely will. If you want ongoing real time protection than by all means get the paid versions. But for the general public each of these spyware removal programs work great.

If you spend a great deal of time online then you absolutely need a spyware removal tool installed on your computer. If you want to read more about spyware removal, or learn more about computer viruses , take a moment and visit Computer Repair Albuquerque
